Why Opticks requires access to your Google Ads accounts

Opticks needs access to Google Ads for two reasons:

  1. To enable a daily sync which will allow Opticks to automatically import metadata from Google Ads to enrich the Opticks dashboard (for example, to see stats for your Google Ads campaigns or accounts).
  2. It is required to activate prevention for your campaigns and accounts and start protecting your Google Ads budget. When prevention is active, Opticks will automatically populate IP exclusion lists and audiences with invalid clicks in real-time.

How to link Opticks with Google Ads

Opticks can be linked to your Google Ads account via either:

  • the linking mechanism in the Opticks dashboard (instructions available in this page)
  • mail invite as a standard user, which requires interaction with our customer support team

Both of these linking methods can be revoked by a Google Account owner or administrator at any time.
